Hairapist was established in 2019.
I love to stay crazy busy. Five years volunteering as a Girl Scout Leader and countless hours donating myself to The Ashtabula Downtown Development Association; having benches placed on Main Avenue, hanging basket arms made for each light post and finding a local artist to paint a beautiful mural on the side of a local business. I also have run the Downtown Ashtabula Christmas Parade for many years.
I was also known to take time out of my busy schedule to visit and help make drug and alcohol rehab patients feel more beautiful for many years. Little did they know that they helped me equally as much as I help them. I have over twenty years of doing hair at a group home of eight men. They humble me and keep my feet firmly planted on the ground.
After my daughters grew up and moved away, I found myself a little lost. So I partook in a year-long educational class that taught everything about Ashtabula County. After graduating from LEADership Ashtabula in 2017, I met some pretty talented and interesting people that lead me to an entrepreneur class that gave me insight and direction into what it takes to run a business.
But the time just wasn't right, until.... on the first Sunday of March 2019 when a life-changing event prompted me to finally follow a lifelong dream. I knew I had to stay on Main Avenue, so I can watch its revolution come to fruition again.
I cater to men, women, and children that are looking for a fun-loving atmosphere. I have never worked a day in my life because I love my profession.

Suzy is a life long resident of Ashta-beautiful! She has over 30 years of experience and has traveled across the United States to further her education in the hair industry. She loves to serve her community by cutting hair at a group home and for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in her spare time. She has donated her time for many years cutting hair at Relay for Life and has donated many pounds of hair to Locks of Love and Wigs for Kids. A graduate of LEADership Ashtabula-class of 2017, gave Suzy a new love and appreciation of her hometown.
